As dawn approached, I expanded the search to encompass all of Trinity. Mika-san’s whereabouts remain a mystery.
Administrative paralysis was overcome. Seia-san’s condition, after pouring all medical resources into her, stabilized with the cessation of hemoptysis. The Tea Party chamber echoes with the weary sighs of administrators, as it does every dawn.
Nagisa-san returned to public duty but delegated much to me. According to a Relief Knights member, the shock from the “Eden Treaty incident” hasn’t fully subsided, and this new mental blow worsened her condition.
The Pater Faction leader is effectively missing. Sayuri-san is frantic.
The Tea Party’s emergency martial law was lifted. With Mika-san’s presence on campus uncertain, the Great Forest Checkpoint Headquarters is in chaos. If she’s fled to Gehenna or Millennium’s autonomous district, I’ll be the first administrator to be sacked.
At least I can take comfort in the Host promising not to hold me fully accountable. Let’s be real—how could a student mob stop someone like a living tank?
She vanished without revealing her destination, so I’m grateful it’s being treated as an act of God.
If it were up to me, I’d ditch this “Proxy” title right now…
[Oh, Hikari-san? Where are you headed?]
[I’ll likely stay at the Checkpoint Headquarters for a few days. I’m starting to think Mika-san may have crossed the autonomous district border. Plus, the acting Checkpoint Leader requested a visit.]
[No need to go. I’ll personally send a letter to the acting Checkpoint Leader.]
Seeing Nagisa-san’s calm demeanor, I felt an unspoken dread—not by chance. She naturally blocked my escape attempt—though I had valid reasons.
[Uh, but for the Checkpoint Leader to step in personally, for appearances—]
[Hikari-san, you’re not the Border Checkpoint Leader but Trinity’s Proxy. The Proxy stays at the Tea Party. Understood?]
…And so, this conversation kept me from escaping. Still, after long negotiations, I secured extra pay, so aside from Yuzuki-san, isn’t this a happy worldline for all? Medetashi, medetashi.
It seems, as Hina-san said, Nagisa-san wants to rely on me a bit. With my heavy administrative load, moving all the Tea Party’s paperwork to the Checkpoint is impossible… No choice, then.
Trinity General School is hurtling toward chaos. By morning, students will accuse us of letting the witch escape.
They’ll say the Host’s personal feelings allowed the breakout, kicking the shaky legs of our alma mater, leading it to a point of no return.
But their indifference to the social unrest they’re causing? It’s a bit unsettling.
Clunk—!
“Hikari-san… huff, huff…”
“Administrator, what’s wrong?”
“Seia-san… has woken up…”
“…”
***
“Please, call Nagisa now… The Sisterhood and Justice Task Force, here…!!”
“Your Excellency!”
When Proxy Yamatsu Hikari burst in, the two girls couldn’t help but jump. Nagisa followed, along with the attending physician, medical staff, the Sanctus sub-faction leader, and a crowd of administrators.
Bloodstains marred the bedding, as Seia-san had coughed up blood again upon waking. The medical team checked her IV and equipment before withdrawing.
I received a report en route to the Relief Knights’ clubroom: Seia-san said we must save Sensei and Mika-san. How she located her friend, I don’t know… but given her many mystical qualities, we can only obey.
Director Arisa’s arrival was fortunate. Hearing the Sanctus leader, she pleaded for a map to be drawn.
Soon, Sakurako-sama arrived. The Sisterhood’s revered abbess believed Seia-san was revealing the “Arius Autonomous District’s” location—urging urgent troop deployment.
It’s a dilemma. Trinity General School is pouring everything into healing its wounds. Mobilizing again isn’t foolish, but it’s hardly ideal.
Should I voice my opinion? Finding that damned base is good news, but I fear the aftermath.
“Mika is fighting alone there. She could hold out for a while, but that’s why we must rescue her. Otherwise…”
“Please… everyone. Help me… Save Mika-san…”
The Host’s earnest plea swayed public sentiment. The Sisterhood and Relief Knights pledged full support. The Justice Task Force… well, we know they’re the Tea Party’s limbs. The leader merely nodded.
As everyone agreed, Nagisa-san looked at me. As Border Checkpoint Leader and Proxy.
The military structure remains intact. Strictly speaking, the Border Checkpoint is now the largest paramilitary organization, combining existing club artillery and the Royal Guard’s armored forces.
Why hasn’t Nagisa-san ordered me? It’s partly my “Trinity General School Proxy” role, but… let’s be honest. I think she’s easing the burden of her request.
The Border Checkpoint is a Tea Party subordinate club. Proxy or not, I’m still the Host’s loyal servant. I stood.
Nagisa-san looked at me.
“…Hikari-san…?”
“I’ll head back to the Tea Party chamber first. There’s a lot to do, given the situation…”
Seia-san looked at me too.
“…I need to contact the Checkpoint Headquarters. It’ll take them two hours to return.”
“…!!”
Nagisa-san’s face lit up.

An hour later, in the Tea Party chamber under clear dawn stars, I was alone with Nagisa-san.
“Urawa-san headed to the ancient library. It’ll be restored soon.”
“Good. Thanks for the update, Hikari-san.”
The Tea Party chamber grew busy again. The army, maintained at thousands but gradually demobilizing, must be reactivated and redeployed based on the ruins’ location. Administrators scurried with stacks of documents.
The Cathedral, Relief Knights, and Justice Task Force clubrooms faced similar situations. Everyone’s barely past the crisis, struggling to mobilize. The Border Checkpoint is on a grand march back from the autonomous district’s Great Forest.
I informed the Supplementary Lessons Club. Shirasu-san reportedly showed a subtle reaction to Sakurako-san’s words.
A military operation of this scale requires external scrutiny. With Nagisa-san focused on preparations, I had to summon Yuzuki-san and the juniors to handle diplomacy. Getting tangled in this mess twice—damn it.
Two parties needed attention: Gehenna Academy and the General Student Council. Fortunately, Iroha-chan, awake at night—since the “Eden Treaty incident,” she seems to handle Pandemonium Society’s external affairs—promised tacit approval.
[But I’ll take a price. From now on, deliver Checkpoint cocoa to the Pandemonium Society’s council too.]
[…It won’t taste the same without me.]
[Oh, didn’t think of that. But going there’s a hassle.]
Iroha-chan somehow secured a delivery deal. I haven’t made cocoa lately, but it’ll hold for a few days.
Next was the General Student Council. Thinking direct talk was needed, I contacted them via Trinity General School’s main branch. Soon, I got Acting President Nanagami Rin’s contact—another proxy, huh?
I hesitated. What if she doesn’t approve? But with Nagisa-san and Seia-san’s strong urging, I couldn’t back down. I steeled myself.
Ring ring ring—Click
[Nanagami Rin speaking. What’s this about?]
A voice weary with exhaustion.
Thankfully, I recognized it from D.U.’s Nuu-S screens. Got the right person.
[Greetings from the Tea Party. If you have time, I’d like to talk.]
“Acting General Student Council President”—Chief Administrator Nanagami Rin. Unlike me, who’s reluctantly under Nagisa-san’s wing, she’s at serious risk of falling from grace.
Just months ago, the General Student Council’s ironclad authority crumbled. Schale’s Sanctum authority reclamation likely played a role.
As a Tea Party administrator, I’m flooded with information. Impossible at the Checkpoint, but now I hold a wealth of intel: Abydos, Kaiser Corporation, Trinity, Gehenna.
Sensei is the story’s protagonist. He formalized a club of five or six students—I respect their grit—as Abydos’s student council and thwarted a surprise attack exploiting the old grudges of two academies.
The General Student Council was a supporting role. When the Tea Party fired shells at Abydos’s desert, they did nothing.
The fate of a powerless higher authority. They became scarecrows.
[Sorry, but who are you?]
The chief administrator’s follow-up question. I answered calmly.
[Yamatsu Hikari, Trinity General School Proxy. Just checking if you’re safe.]
I don’t know for sure, but…
I bet her face hardened.
