My body felt stiff as soon as I woke up this morning.
Lately, I’d been moving around and being more active than usual.
In that sense, I wanted to do an even more low-effort stream today, so I was browsing Tgether looking for something interesting when I found a few interesting posts.

[What’s Trending on YouTube These Days]
(photo)
It’s none other than VTubers.
Don’t believe it? Look at their subscriber counts.
So many YouTubers crossing the million mark.
When even regular streamers barely hit a million, at this rate…
Maybe our Daeju should try being a VTuber too…?
[Comments]
– Get out of our village, you weeb!
ㄴ Try it once, VTubers are tasty
– Typical of VTuber simps) They claim there’s no real person behind it while working harder than anyone to figure out who it really is
ㄴ This would be good for Daeju, super easy to investigate his background, and even if exposed, the real person would be even more attractive lol
ㄴ But if the real person is more attractive, is there even a need to be a VTuber…?
ㄴ Oh? You’re a genius?

Sometimes they’d bite onto weird topics, like that time they fought over ‘Han River Ramen VS Drinking Only Ramen Broth Without Noodles’.[1]
The result was Han River Ramen’s defeat.
‘Just drinking the broth’ won. Overwhelmingly.
While becoming a full VTuber might be difficult, couldn’t I try experiencing it indirectly through an avatar in VR Chat? It seemed like it would attract attention well, and it was such a famous game that if you bought a VR headset, you’d have to try it at least once, whether you liked it or not.
Above all, it seemed like it would be easy to stream.
Strike while the iron is hot, as they say, so I made a post.

[Today We’re Playing VR Chat]
Planning to get an avatar and try it out, let me know if you have any recommendations.
By the way, today I’ll have the avatar showing instead of cam, like VTubers.
[Comments]
– Ah who brought up the VTuber topic you ba*tards, we won’t be able to see the cam.
ㄴ Didn’t expect the streamer to bite this bait ;;;
– Aren’t you embarrassed that Daeju is trying to forcefully sample VTubers? I am, a bit yeah
ㄴ Actually me too
– I made your avatar yesterday, want to use it? Sent the link in DM
ㄴ Made it yesterday? What timing;
ㄴ Saw how much fun Daeju had with VR yesterday so figured he’d do it soon and made it ahead lol

When I checked my DMs, there was a message with my avatar file and detailed instructions on how to apply it.
I applied the avatar before starting the stream to get the settings right.
“Wow, you already made this?”
The avatar perfectly recreated the outfit and hairstyle I wore yesterday, with only the face being different – it seemed to be taken from some character’s face with that distinct animation style.
I wondered if it might have been better if the hair and outfit were different too, but viewers might find this more familiar, so maybe it’s better
I set it up so the avatar’s face would show in place of the webcam. When I pressed the hotkeys as written in the instructions, the expressions changed too. Despite being made in just a day, it could freely display about 8 different expressions.
Just as I was about to start streaming
The viewers’ chat was already dancing before my eyes.
Looks like today’s chat is going to be chaos too.
“Everyone…”
[Daeju, what the hell]
[lololololol got surprised]
[Is this that… VTuber thing or whatever?]
[Give us back our Daeju, you monster]
[Who are you?]
“Monster? I’m a new VTuber… what was it… just Daeju”
Since viewers were pretending not to know me, I thought about fully committing to the concept.
But it felt kind of embarrassing, so I stopped.
It was annoying having to change expressions while talking, but every time I changed expressions, the chat would react with amazement, which felt nice.
Since I blatantly wrote [New VTuber Bowing in Greeting] in the title, there were lots of people.
[Oh, so you’re Daeju-nim. Your name is the same as this streamer I know hehe]
[fr fr lol what’s that guy doing not streaming during this time lololol]
[Being honest now but isn’t he getting washed up? lol]
ㄴ [Has been forcibly removed.]
[Eh? Why did they get banned?]
[Mentioning other streamers]
[lololololol true lol]
“Okay everyone, please come in. I’ll write the map and room number in chat”
Today’s content was just sightseeing.
A stream watching avatars and maps. A low-effort stream.
As soon as I shared it, various people started coming in.
Each with their own unique avatar equipped.
And I was regretting it.
Because in this world, all the pretty avatars were male characters.
My room soon became filled with male characters of various unique styles.
“Ah please don’t come close, go away… stop it!!”
[This is paradise lol A room full of male characters]
[Daeju’s working hard to avoid them lololol]
[Weeb male chars = dislike, Daeju = dislike, Daeju avoiding weeb male chars = super like lololol]
[Hey Daeju lololol how’s a room full of male chars? lololol]
Why did I only think about VR Chat from that world’s perspective?
In a gender-reversed world, this would be natural.
When I turned to look at the characters, my eyes would meet with the male characters’ eyes, and thanks to VR, I could feel the heat rising three-dimensionally.
Moreover, those ba*tards must also have had expression hotkeys or something, because when they made blushing expressions, I couldn’t suppress my rising ban urge and had to ban them.
That’s how I banned the 4th person.
Just banned someone who was twerking with full body tracking too, so now it’s 5.
[Feeling dizzy? lololol]
[Well~ This is the content you chose~]
[Daeju’s virtual character’s expression has been crying for 10 minutes lololol]
[Damn lololol Daeju’s been banning for 7 minutes straight lololol]
“Alright! I’m done looking at avatars so recommend some maps and get out!”
[lololol absolutely not leaving]
[Wow what’s with that guy crawling on the ground with his butt using full body tracking?]
[I saw that in a Crayon Shin-chan movie;;]
[In the cruel world of VR… VTubers cannot survive.]
Finally gave up on avatar viewing.
They were well-made, but that made me hate them even more.
I couldn’t continue because of the guys approaching me with full body tracking and doing various antics.
After that, I decided to look at maps.
The first one was a space that looked like it could be from some game.
It felt like a massive temple. And in the center of the temple was a huge statue.
A statue holding a shield and spear.
Honestly, it only reminds me of a certain LoL character.
“Wow, what game is this space from?”
[It’s the Parthenon Temple you idiot]
[Info) It’s a real place]
[lololol Daeju…]
[Come on, who actually knows what the inside of the Parthenon looks like, you ba*tards lol]
[Criticizing this is actually unfair fr fr lol]
As I moved around changing maps, I noticed people following me one by one.
It was scarier when they followed quietly.
“Ah sh*t, you startled me… please say something…”
Then I could at least get some psychological comfort knowing it’s a woman playing even if it’s a male character.
But they were so immersed that they either tried to communicate only through expressions and body language, or just fiddled with my character without speaking, or even when they spoke, they deliberately made their voices deeper.
[Why are these guys so ‘real’?]
[fr fr I saw a hip-swaying training ground map while wandering before]
[wtf is that, and you know suspiciously well about this stuff]
[hehe]
[What are you]
[hehehe]
“…Daeju-nim… I’m a fan”
“Wow… you really sound like a man?”
While listening, suddenly I heard a voice that wasn’t blatantly deep, but compared to others, sounded much more masculine.
I wasn’t the only one who felt this way, as there was discussion among the viewers too.
[Sounds like a man?]
[Nah, as someone who’s spent 15 years searching for men in games, judging by voice thickness, trembling, and speech pattern, 99% woman. For reference, never played games with men in those 15 years]
[Seems like a man]
[That guy has full body tracking, try pretending to hit their balls]
[fr fr you can tell gender by their crouching posture]
It was plausible advice.
I looked at the character with the male voice.
A short male character, and looking at the face, it seemed they were using a young male character. What a creepy taste, this definitely made me want to hit them, advice or not. No, not wanting to hit a young male character, but the person controlling this character.
When I stood in front of the character, they looked up at me.
And I made a punching motion toward their groin, and the male character suddenly moved in surprise.
“Huh?”
A posture of pulling their butt and waist back, protecting their groin with both hands.
That posture was unmistakably male.
“…You’re a man?”
[A man… in Daeju’s room?]
[I always support male couples, Daeju]
[lololol Stop!]
[Why are you really watching? I’m curious]
“Yes, I… am a man…”
“Why do you watch me?”
“Because I think we’re similar…”
Listening to his story, it was roughly like this.
Being handsome, he was harassed by women, and at some point got stuck at home just streaming, then he saw me. Seeing me streaming while being s*xually harassed to a similar degree, no, even more than himself, he gained courage and strength, so he wanted to participate as a viewer and say he was a fan.
Harassed by women because he’s handsome, he says.
It felt presumptuous, but in a gender-reversed world.
If you think about it as a pretty woman getting harassed and ending up confined at home, it wasn’t completely incomprehensible.
“Thanks to Daeju-nim’s streams, I sometimes go out these days… but I can’t work part-time… and I need money…”
Somehow it turned into a counseling session.
[Isn’t he an idiot? Just stream if you’re handsome]
[fr fr lololol worried about his weak mentality though]
[Daeju, you said you’re starting an agency later, let’s try raising this guy first yeah]
Looking at the chat, I was convinced too.
Actually, I wanted to do something for him.
One of the few male fans, a normal fan, and though the cause was different, he reminded me of myself before coming to this reversed world, stuck in my room, so I wanted to help even a little.
“Want to try being a streamer? I’ll help you as much as I can.”
“Me? I’m really not funny… and have no sense…”
[Is he dissing Daeju right now?]
[Yeah]
[To unfunny, senseless Daeju! Still supporting you!]
“Just try it! Start by thinking of a nickname.”
“A nickname… then…. um….”
After thinking briefly, he opened his mouth.
“Vine…?”
“Oh… Vine…”
It was a streamer name I seemed to have heard in the previous world.

T/N:
- “Han River Ramen” refers to the Korean tradition of eating instant ramen by the Han River, often considered a cheap date activity.
