After ending my stream, I fell into deep thought.
What kind of content could I create that would be fun with these viewers who were pretty good at gaming?
The first thing I thought of was me taking the bus [1]. In League or any game, there’s always ranked team play, right? I could take advantage of the viewers there.
Or maybe I could pit viewers against each other and do commentary?
“That’s not bad.”
That seemed like it could be fun too.
I wasn’t confident in my commentary skills, but I’d probably do better than actually playing the game myself.
Various ideas popped into my head, but none of them felt like “this is it!” Then I happened to glance at the streaming list. Although I’d said it would start from tomorrow for a week, the applicants for streamer positions had already started streaming today.
So out of curiosity, I decided to first spy on Yeonhee’s stream.
“I’m telling you, it’s definitely going to be accepted!”
As luck would have it, she seemed to be talking about the interview.
[There’s an applicant who interviewed the interviewer?!]
[Stop lying, no way someone like that exists lololol]
[Bet that girl sucks at League too lololol]
[Bet she’s the type who’s worse at streaming than her viewers, probably just plays League all day in her room but can’t even reach Platinum, short, doesn’t exercise, and gets super sulky lololol]
ㄴ [Has been forcibly removed]
“I don’t get sulky!”
[She’s sulking lololol]
[Special trait of people who say they don’t get sulky) They get sulky]
[Oh oh, are her cheeks puffing up? Is her mouth sticking out?]
[Is she a pufferfish? She puffs up when she’s angry lololol]
As they said this, Yeonhee’s expression already showed signs of being upset, her lips protruding more than usual.
Not realizing that this only made the viewers tease her more.
Maybe this was calculated too?
“Well, Yeonhee…”
Actually, there wasn’t much more to see with Yeonhee.
With her viewer count and experience, she was someone I should learn streaming from rather than the other way around.
Next, I went to check on Se-na, who I was curious about.
Rather than actually streaming, Se-na was setting up her stream.
She was adjusting the microphone volume and camera angle.
Watching Se-na’s stream made me feel complicated somehow.
“So you really did apply…”
It was really sudden.
Of course, I hadn’t told anyone in advance about streaming either, but Se-na hadn’t mentioned she would apply for my streamer recruitment. I didn’t feel betrayed since I’d done the same thing, but I didn’t understand why she suddenly applied.
Of course, I preferred her becoming a streamer rather than becoming a Grand Master.
At least not Grand Master…
Since Se-na wasn’t doing much besides setting up, she didn’t have many viewers.
About 20 to 30 people. Well, even this many people watching someone just doing stream setup was probably a lot. Even this might decrease rather than increase as time passes, since it hadn’t been long since the interview.
The stream showed Se-na’s living room full of exercise equipment that I’d visited before.
“Just a moment, everyone…”
Se-na was frowning slightly while continuously adjusting the camera angle.
She seemed meticulous about these things, constantly adjusting as if something wasn’t quite right. But whether it was because her hands were too strong, the camera kept swinging around wildly.
“Can’t control my strength…”
Se-na was fiddling with the camera with a dejected expression.
[Unnie, you’re pretty]
[Blonde tanned delinquent unnie… hnnng]
[How did you get those abs?]
[Next summer, I will too…]
The positive point was that there were many people chatting.
Though it was a bit concerning that most of the chat showed attraction towards Se-na despite them being female, it was better than having a quiet chat.
A workout stream was novel too.
Plus, since she worked part-time as a trainer, she’d probably explain things better than most people who exercise.
While adjusting the camera, it naturally became an extreme close-up, capturing Se-na’s face and shoulders well on screen.
Feeling somewhat embarrassed, I fled.
Other applicants were also streaming diligently in their own ways.
Among them, the one with the most viewers was a streamer named Miyeon.
During the interview, she seemed like a kind and innocent person.
No, genuinely innocent – not just in comparison to the Grand Masters.
She was nervous, and her answers weren’t particularly impressive. Though her gentle speaking manner gave off a soft impression, viewers had been lukewarm to just that, yet she had a whole hundred viewers. Well, it wasn’t fair to compare her with Se-na and other applicants who had just started streaming since she’d been streaming before, but it was definitely a notable viewer count.
Me and Vine?
Me and Vine were exceptions.
We were male streamers, stirred up massive drama, and had a streaming style that didn’t exist anywhere else.
Especially Vine, who recorded an incredible 300 viewers on his first day. A stream where he cursed at people. No wonder it attracted attention.
Anyway, the reason why this Miyeon person was so popular—
[F*ck, are these even human fingers?]
[Please use your ult I’m begging you I think I’m going crazy if you use your ult I’ll immediately achieve enlightenment and shower you with donations please just use your ult]
[Oh ho… Combat power -200,000… Not bad for an Earthling]
[I never comment but I logged in just to curse you out you f*cking b*tch]
“Hehe… our team is doing well!”
Either she had good mental fortitude or was just pure, she rejoiced when her team won a teamfight despite the dizzying chat.
Her teammates seemed quite angry, but as they say, you can’t spit on a smiling face, so they couldn’t say anything too harsh—
Ah, they did.
They asked about her parents’ wellbeing.
Still, smiling Miyeon looked like Buddha.
Is comparing a woman to Buddha inappropriate?
[She’s nice though…]
[Let’s cut her some slack since this unnie is a bit slow but nice]
[I like her but I’d probably want to kill her if I met her in game]
She was really bad.
The one fortunate point was that she had a good personality.
That disgusting yet pure personality created a strange purifying feeling that kept viewers from leaving.
Speak of the devil, I got a KakaoTalk message from Vine.
“What’s with this tone?”
I wasn’t sure, but I could tell he was extremely nervous.
Though he usually used honorifics, he’d never used this kind of tone before.
Since I’d proudly said I’d help with his application, I was planning to help with any requests as long as they were within my capabilities.
When I replied asking what was wrong, I was startled by a long message that flew in as if he’d been waiting.
Why are long KakaoTalk messages so scary?
Reading it carefully, the content wasn’t something to be afraid of.
To summarize the long letter:
While streaming had reduced his fear of women, he was still afraid of going out. That’s why he was requesting help from me, a man.
Come to think of it, hadn’t he said starting to stream was like overcoming his fears, just like me?
Honestly, I still had resistance to going outside too, but I’d gotten much better.
I readily agreed to help.
Though I disliked going out, something about Vine reminded me of myself from a few months ago, so I couldn’t leave him alone.
When I said I’d help, Vine sent me a photo of a deep bow.
I’m not sure why, but recently he’s been sending quite a few deep bow photos and videos. I hope expressing gratitude to me hasn’t become fixed as deep bows.
When I asked what he wanted to do outside, he said he wanted to buy streaming equipment like a microphone, earphones, and even a gaming keyboard and mouse. When I asked why he needed to buy so much.
His answer made me solemn.
He really doesn’t go outside, or rather, can’t go outside.
“Come to think of it, this is going to be a disaster combination…”
Two shut-in Lu Bus going shopping together – I could only see a dark future.
I couldn’t call any of my acquaintances for help since they were all women.
Because Vine would be scared.
“Right, I just need to stay sharp and help him”
If I don’t take responsibility for Vine, who started streaming wanting to be like me, who will?
And although I haven’t established a company yet, he’s the first streamer I discovered.
With an inexplicable sense of responsibility, I changed my mindset.
I set up a meeting time and left a post on Tgether.
***
[No stream tomorrow because I’m going shopping with Vine]
For real
[Comments]
– Turn on stream
– Turn on stream
– When two streamers meet, legally one has to stream. My friend’s grandfather’s friend is a magic prosecutor so I know.
ㄴ Not even a prosecutor lololol
ㄴ If it’s friend’s grandmother’s friend then it’s a guy
ㄴ Using magic at that age, isn’t that literally Gandalf?
ㄴ Hey now!
– If you don’t stream we’re going to curse at Master, so Vine, turn it on for your boss’s sake….
***
I’ll probably have to ask Vine about streaming or not.
Even if we do stream, it should be on Vine’s channel since it would help his growth, so either way, I decided to take a break from streaming and went to sleep to prepare for tomorrow.
